The research work in our group aims at advancing the science and technology of cryogenically cooled liquid beams. Liquid jets have found widespread applications, e.g., for soft X-ray generation, X-ray absorption spectroscopy, photoelectron spectroscopy, and femtosecond X-ray crystallography. In our group we further investigate the great potential of cryogenically cooled droplet beams to open new avenues into a broad spectrum of scientific endeavors, developing microscopic liquid jets into unique and powerful tools for fundamental physical measurements in atomic, plasma, and condensed matter physics.
