Clusters in strong laser fields

Van-der-Waals clusters composed of two or more Molecules show fascinating quantum phenomena. Compared to covalent bound molecules, they exhibit huge internuclear distances and small binding energies. Ionizing these clusters with intense laser fields yields insight into their dimension, as well as geometrical structure.

So far we investigated the following subjects:

Argon and Neon dimers,
trimers and tetramers

Helium trimers

Helium Efimov trimers

Helium dimers

He2 field induced dynamics
